Cross-ownership and new media
I've written a post for my blog Media Nation on the FCC's proposal to relax the ban on cross-ownership, which prevents anyone from owning a newspaper and a television and/or radio station in the same city. How is this a Web story? I argue that, eventually, getting rid of the ban will make sense, since we'll have an infinite number of television stations available via the next-generation Internet. But not yet.
